Preparations for our first trip

Not long after buying Fritz (the camper) we had a long list of things that needed fixing, scrubbing, mending, stitching etc.
Emma set about making new covers for the seats & cushions and brand new curtains (from second hand curtains bought for a pricey £2 from Oxfam). She worked like mad yoke every evening to get them ready for our departure date which was fast approaching. As you can see, Harvey oversaw the process keeping Emma on her toes and to schedule!

While Emma was busy with needles and thread, I set about the task of giving Fritz his first bath and a good auld scrubbing.

We had the van serviced unfortunately he was unable to find the source of the leak in the front footwells (see pic.).

This needs further investigation in June when Fritz is due his next MOT.

So, we had been getting ready for ages - getting all the bits and pieces that would make life easier on the road and on-site.

Time drew nearer to our departure day to the north...
